NASA has identified more than a million asteroids in the space between Mars and Jupiter since humans have observed them in 1801. These rocky bodies can range from 530-10 meters wide. Some researchers have even stated that they hold a clue about the formation of our solar system. This is due to their 'hardly ever changed' nature.
