Mars

Mars-Red-Planet-Highlights-scaled-1.jpg

From earth, Mars looks like a ball of superhot solid. But in reality, Mars is usually icy cold. According to NASA, its temperature can range from -140 to 20 degrees Celsius. Averagely, it sits around -63 degrees Celsius. The frightening vermillion(red-orange) color came from the abundant iron oxide on its surface. Iron oxide is the same compound that we'll find in rust. Wind traveling at 400km/h on Mars created a never-ending loop of iron oxide storms. Thus, making the planet appeared more vermillion.
